Hi I'm Byron

I was born in Utah but have lived in Georgia and California. I love to travel and play all kinds of sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have received my mission call to England London south, I leave July of 2016. Following my mission I will be attending Brigham Young University. I am the only son, and the oldest of 4 kids. I loves sports or anything that active and intense. I have been out of the county several times and plan on going more. I love working and getting dirty but I always enjoy relaxing for a moment every once in a while.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church everybody in my family aunts, uncles and grandparents included are all members of the church. My true conversion came when i was about 15 or 16, i had been hanging out with some kids who weren't good influences to me and i had stated making some not so great choices. I didn't like the way that i was turning out and there was some outside motivation for me to change. I had decided to switch friend groups and start hanging out with people who were all doing the right things, and i wanted to be just like them. I wanted to be as happy as them and do the things that they were doing. so i decided that i would change and become better. Through the power of the atonement and the help of my parents and bishop i was able to become the person that i wanted to be and do the things that i wanted to do and be with the people who were making the best choices. My bishop challenged me to read the book of mormon every night and learn from its teaching, that was over 2 years ago and i have only missed a few days since then. I can testify that if you read the book of mormon with a pure intent that you will feel the spirit in you life and it will guide you to making good choices. No person who is reading the book of mormon consistently and praying, will fall away from the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by deciding to serve a full time mission. I cant wait to go out and serve the people of London and the lord for 2 years. I had tho opportunity to co-teach an 11 year old class with my friend. Those kids are amazing you always hear from people older than you that you are better prepared then they ever were, well i'm going to say it about them, they are amazing, I cant believe how smart they are and how much they already know about the scriptures. Teaching their class has made me want to improve my study and further my knowledge of the gospel. Every year my ward does a young mens high adventure. It's like scout camp where we go to back country places and participate in activities like rock climbing and river rafting and rifle/shotgun shooting etc.. Then at the end of the day we take out experiences and apply them to life and the gospel, and share our testimony on them. those moments are always some of the most spiritual experiences that I have.
