Hi I'm Jared Knight

I am the manager of programs and marketing at BYU Aspen Grove Family Camp, an author of camp activity books, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since 1996, I have been a member of the staff at Aspen Grove Family Camp (owned by Brigham Young University), where I currently serve as the manager of programs and marketing. In this position, I supervise programs and activities for more than 5,000 children during the summer camp and autumn weekend events. I also develop winter programming for 4,000 teenagers, providing faith-based youth conferences, where I organize cross-country skiing and snowshoeing outings. I was the former president of the American Camp Association, Southwest Section. I am the author of several well-received books, including 101 Creative Programs for Children, 101 Age-Appropriate Camp Activities, 101 Games and Activities to Strengthen Families, 101 Swimming Pool Games & Activities, 101 Games & Activities That Teach Leadership and Teamwork, 101 Games & Activities to Promote Well-Adjusted Youth, and Special Events for Youth Programs. I received a bachelor s degree in recreation management and youth leadership and a master s degree in public administration from Brigham Young University. I served as the director of development for United Way of Utah County and as a camp director for the Boy Scouts of America. I currently serving as a leader working with young single adults.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I love the Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently am serving as a leader working with young single adults as the first counselor in the Orem YSA 3rd Ward bishopric. I love to do family history and I have done the temple work for over 100 family members of my wife's family. I have researched family photos and stories of my own family tree.
