Hi I'm Caden

I grew up in the Western United States. I love the outdoors, my family, and Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Even though I was born in Utah and my family lives here, I have moved 14 times and lived all over the Western United States. I am the oldest of four children, and have two loving parents. Soccer is my favorite team sport, and I have played it nearly my whole life. Besides that, I love skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, backpacking, and just about all other outdoor activities. Math is my best subject, I love listening to music, and mangoes are the best food on the planet. I recently graduated form high school and am preparing to serve in the Korea Busan Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

While I have been born and raised in the LDS Church, I have never had to simply rely on the beliefs of my parents or on blind acceptance. As a little child I prayed for a confirmation of the truth of The Book of Mormon, the keystone of our religion, and received a clear answer of its truthfulness. I have had hundreds of similar experiences since then, and have a firm testimony. I do not know everything, but I know Heavenly Father lives and loves us along with His son Jesus Christ. I know Joseph Smith restored the true church to the earth, and it is led by a divinely called prophet. I know I can be with my family forever, and there is always hope through my Savior. This knowledge allows me to weather the storms of life and overcome any and all trials I face. I am exceedingly grateful for how being a Mormon has made me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving every day to become more like Jesus Christ, my perfect older brother. His church provides constant opportunities for growth. During the past several years I have learned from, taught, and served with hundreds of strong, faithful sons and daughters of God. As a missionary every day will be dedicated to inviting others to come unto Christ. I will do this by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. This gives me more joy than I can express.
