Hi I'm Trevor Brown

I'm a youngest child with four amazing siblings. I love pole vaulting and I love to smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student with a dream of changing the world, one person at a time. I love to play sports, like Frisbee and Soccer. I love track. I also love to read, learn and spend time in the great outdoors. Only a freshman in college, I'm not sure about what I want to study, nor really about anything in my life. I look up to my wonderful older siblings and I'm grateful for their examples. Someday I hope that I can fill their rather dauntingly large shoes. I try to smile at everyone I see, because it makes me feel that I might be making their day better. I want to spend my life doing the same thing- working everyday to make other's lives better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but I truly had to find out if it was true on my own. I had come to the point where my parents telling me the church was true wasn't enough and I had to find out for myself. And I did find out. I know that Jesus Christ lives and what is more, he truly atoned for our sins. He is made it possible for my sins to be washed away, for me to be made clean and also for me to be able to be with my family again after this life. The gospel of Jesus Christ has given me so much joy and peace in my life. I know Christ leads this church and I am so grateful that I can be a part of it. I want to share my knowledge with the world, so they too can have the same happiness.

How I live my faith

I feel that one of the most important ways I live my faith, is I try to love those people that I come in contact with and interact with on a daily basis, because I know that is what Jesus Christ would do if he was here. I try to smile at strangers and look for opportunities to help and serve wherever they may be. My desire to help and love other people is something that I know comes from my belief in the Savior Jesus Christ. I serve in whatever position that is asked of me within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I know that's what Heavenly Father wants of me. As part of my most recent position, I was a leader of some of the other boys my age at the college I was attending. I willingly sacrificed much of my study and fun time to go visit those boys and make sure they were doing well, because I know that's what God needed of me. Now I am headed off on a full-time mission for the Church, to help other people experience this great joy that I have been privileged to have in my own life.
