Hi I'm Ashley

I am a student at BYU-Idaho, I was called to the Ohio Cincinnati Mission, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the Earth. I love traveling and exploring all of God's breathtaking places and creations. I am lucky to live close to mountains where I go four-wheeling with my family, hiking, camping and snowboarding. I also love creating things of beauty myself, I have always loved art and drawing. I am a college student at BYU-Idaho and this is my second semester, my major is currently Graphic Design. I recently received my mission call to the Cincinnati Ohio Mission!! And I am eager to give a mere 18 months of my life back to God to love and serve his children.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I choose to be a Mormon because all my life I have been privileged to grow up in this faith and to witness the true and real joy that can come from this gospel. I know that nothing else in this life can give anyone more peace, joy, and love for others then this gospel. I have come to gain my own testimony or things that I know to be true as I have pondered, studied the Bible and Book of Mormon, which testifies of Christ. There wasn't a specific moment in time when I "knew" this church was true but rather over the course of my life as I have felt the spirit of the lord in moments of trial, service, church meetings, or even talking with loved ones. It has come gradually but surely. I continue to follow this gospel because I love God and I want to follow his plan for me, so after this life I will be able to live with him again and to become even as he is. This is my ultimate goal.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege to be able to participate and contribute to my church by helping teach the "sisters" or young single adult girls such as myself. I am very grateful for this opportunity because it allows me to learn and grow myself by teaching. The people in my church also have what's called a "ward indexing night" where we meet together and index, this is where we put names of people who have passed away, such as our ancestors or others into a data base where those names can be found by people who are doing family history, looking for their relatives and then take those names into the temple.
