Hi I'm Rona

I grew up in Philippines. I'm the second to the eldest siblings in 6 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Filipino. I'm a Single Adult. I'm the second eldest in 6 siblings. I love sport activities like Badminton and Basketball, I also attended Zumba Class and Gym. I graduated 2-year college course in a technical school. I became a working student in a fast food restaurant. I'm unemployed for one year since the day I graduated. Then, during that year my Dad has been hospitalized and became a mild stroke patient. My Mom was not there when my Dad got into that situation 'coz she's an Overseas Filipino Worker(meaning she works abroad). After a year since I graduated, I look for a job and I got my first job in a fast food restaurant. Then, I moved in a government office and worked there for 6 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since August 02, 2012 when I lived with my auntie,my Dad's sister, who were already a member of the church. I am a 1st year High School that time or now called Grade 7. She always brought me to the Church with her family. Then, the Sister missionaries started to teach me. Then, I got baptized without the knowledge of my mother in that event. She just got new about it when I return back home to them. My Dad knew about my baptism and my siblings, they all attended that day. The time passed, My Mom get okay with my religion. In fact when I was younger, she once attended in a young women excellence of Young Women Organization where I received something by a very important fulfillment in youth age. I've chosen to be convert in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I knew this is the true Church and it is fully restored by a 12-year old boy's humble and sincere heart prayer. And I know that Families can be together Forever. That our life doesn't end here on earth nor the last place that many believe and think that we will end up, but there is more after that. And I believe that there is a kingdom that Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ prepared for us. We all just need to know, search and ponder for it through our faith and sincere heart prayer.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in community service. When I turned 18 years old, I got my first calling as a Primary Teacher of ages 4-7 years old. I go with Sister Missionaries often who preach and visit some members and many investigators. We moved out into another house and I also moved into another ward. And I got a new calling as a Laurel Adviser of ages 16-17 years old in Young Women Organization. I taught them according to the knowledge I knew about the gospel. I got released, and got a new calling as a 1st councilor in Young Women Organization. I helped the young women to get nearer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love the youth because I know they have hard times in their age and I know they can pass all of it because they are strong as long as they have and live with the gospel.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

I know that God moves in mysterious way as long as he sees our strong desire to know of the truth. And I know He will surely show the way for you to know the things you were pondering. Show more Show less
