Hi I'm Jaryn

I am a runner, an aspiring nurse, service enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is a large part of my life; I have been playing the Violin since I was eight and it has been a very enjoyable hobby for me. I love being able to add my own interpretation and emotions into the songs that I play. In addition, recently I have gained a strong passion for long distance running. I ran my first half marathon just last month and loved it. Last April I finished up my freshman year of college taking pre-requisites for nursing. I am so excited to become a nurse for the service opportunities I will have. Once a nurse, I hope to be able to travel to different third world countries and give help in any way that I can.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion never came from a huge revelation. I have had strong feelings of care and love from God and Jesus Christ, and it has been these simple but profound moments that have built my testimony. All these inspiring moments of peace have been brought about by my action. One thing that I have a firm testimony of is taking action, and then evaluating. When I try my best to keep my promises that I have made with God and follow all his commandments, I can feel his approval and love undeniably blessing me. If you want to know the truthfulness of this gospel, you have to try living this gospel first. Then, you will be able to be open to the feelings of peace from the Spirit.

How I live my faith

When I was in Young Women, I was president of my age group. This calling really led me to have a passion for service. I realized that no matter how active or inactive someone is in the church, there is always a huge need for fellowship and inspired teaching. Through this calling I was able to feel of Gods love for anyone. Because of my experiences as a youth president and seeing the need for helping others to feel the pure love of God, I have chosen to serve a full-time mission for the church. I cannot think of a better way to serve others than by teaching them of the gospel that has brought me true joy in my life. I hope to be able to show others that our gospel is a gospel of service and love.
