Hi I'm Parker

I live in Idaho. I'm part of a proud National Guard family. I do competitive Speech and Debate and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a small town just outside an Air Force base where my father works. Dad has a long career in the Air National guard as a Air Traffic Controller. I love being part of my school's Speech and Debate Team. I do Lincoln-Douglas debate, as well as Impromptu and Extemporaneous speaking events.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. It's not always an easy way to be. But I love it and I choose it day after day because of how much better it makes me. I know that as I follow the Prophet and his council that my life is better than I could have made it. I know that the scriptures are one of the greatest gifts God has given us. I know that the Book of Mormon is full of light and truth that are greater than any other book. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen by God to restore the true church to the earth. And I know that God loves all of his children on this earth more than we can possibly comprehend.

How I live my faith

I love being a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It gives me so many great opportunities to serve and get to know others. One of the best parts is being in youth group with my friends. We get to hang out, but also strengthen and support one another.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

When someone attends church they come to learn, to feel the spirit and to be instructed on how to better themselves. When attending the temple it is much the same. The temple, however, is dedicated to the Lord and exists as his home on earth. As such attending the temple is a much more sacred and reverent affair than regular Sunday meetings. Show more Show less
