Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Oklahoma. I'm a University of Oklahoma Sooner through and through. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm someone that tries to push myself to explore. Whether that's trying a new food, climbing a mountain, or just browsing a local library, I love all of the little experiences that we are blessed with in life. I'm also a total nerd. Star Wars, superheroes, Ultimate Frisbee, books, you name it, I love it! I'm currently attending college and am dating someone who brings a smile to my face every single day. All in all, I love my life, and a huge part of that is because of the happiness that the Gospel brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of families. I love my family. They are such a huge support in my life, and I would not be where I am without the loving care of my parents. In my years in this world, the only church I have found that teaches that I can be with my family, with the people I love most, forever, is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Heaven wouldn't be Heaven to me without my family. Additionally, I have a firm knowledge of the truth of the Gospel. Through prayer and study in my youth I developed a testimony of the Book of Mormon, of Jesus Christ, and of the truth of this Church. Over the years, that testimony has only grown and been added to. I am a Mormon because I know of it's truth, and that it is Christ's church on the earth today. I stand with Peter in saying, "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life."

How I live my faith

One way I am living my faith is my two-year church mission to Albania. I'm so very excited to be able to go and teach so many about Christ and share the love and happiness that my knowledge of Him as brought me. I am also currently a youth teacher in my local ward, teaching a class of 12-14 year olds!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jason
Family is so important to Mormons because it isn't just a part of God's plan for us; it IS God's plan for us. They are the central unit that society is built on, and our very best resources for support, learning, and love. It is through eternal families that we can find the greatest happiness and joy.
