Hi I'm Bryce

I've lived in Arizona all of my life. I love music with a passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and enjoy spending time with people that make me happy. I love any activity involved with music (e.g. listening to, making, or sharing music or musical talents with people.) I was in choir and love to sing. I play the piano, viola, guitar, the ukulele, and am always excited to try new instruments and explore new musical styles. I also like being active when I can and enjoy going to the lake, cliff jumping, hiking, exercising, playing sports, and going to concerts with friends. I love the Arizona rain, the soothing sound, and the smell; Arizona sunsets are also amazing. I love being a part of the church and having fun times with family and friends who bring out the best in me. I am the second oldest of a family of seven. I have three younger sisters, one older brother currently serving an LDS mission in Alaska, and an amazing mom and dad. I have my call to serve a mission in Little Rock, Arkansas and report in a few days. I'm so excited for what the Lord has in store for me and my life, but I am also excited to bless the lives of others with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my entire life. All of us can have incredible faith regardless of when we gained a testimony of this gospel, if we turn our hearts to the Lord. My Grandmother was a convert to the church and I have been so blessed from her decision to follow Christ. I have seen so many hearts change. I have had friends not of my faith who have accepted Christ and been baptized, and the light that they bring and the difference that it makes in their life is powerful. Their example to me is so beautiful. I have gained a relationship with my Heavenly Father through prayer, and I am given the strength I need to overcome the struggles that I have in life. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know I am a child of God. I have found for myself the peace and the comfort of knowing I can be forgiven of my sins and we can grow our testimony each day as we repent and come closer to God. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored Christ's church on the Earth. I have prayed to my Father in Heaven and I know that he is there. I know he loves me. I know my Savior loves me. I know this because I have felt his love and the Spirit has testified to me that it is true. I don't have a perfect knowledge, but I have faith. I am a Mormon because I know that God loves me and he will always be there to help me if I ask in faith. I give thanks each day for how much he has blessed me and I hope that I will be able to bring others the happiness, love, peace, and purpose that comes from this gospel as I serve and teach others on my mission.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy being involved with the members of the church and church activities. I especially loved being a part of the youth program and learned so much from all the leaders, and so much from my friends and other youth who were part of the program. I have enjoyed so many great experiences, performing service projects, playing games, playing sports with the young men, camping, sharing spiritual messages, and getting to know so many other people who have the same beliefs as me and are always there to lift me up. I admire the examples of my friends in the church who share their happiness and goodness with others, through their examples of being loving and understanding of people around them, and through kindly sharing their beliefs about what is important to them in their lives. I always try to include and uplift other people, because I know we are all God's children and we are all so important to him. I have been able to be a leader in many different ways in the church and I have learned to serve people and love more like Christ does. I get so much out of attending church every week, attending Seminary (or scriptural classes at school) and the scriptures (including the Bible and the Book of Mormon) bring so much light into my life. By spending time with my family and by reading the scriptures together, praying together, and putting each other first, my mom, dad, brother, sisters and I have grown so close to each other and there is much more peace in our house when we do. It's not always perfect, some days are harder than others and there will always be disagreements, frustration, or contention from time to time. Family's aren't perfect, but our Savior Jesus Christ is and he suffered for our sins so that we can repent and be better each day. We all have our own problems and weaknesses to give to the Lord, but as a family, we can grow closer together and truly have a bond that will last for eternity.
