Hi I'm Brandon

I am from Palmer Alaska, and am currently serving a mission in Northern England. I love people, love my family, and Tapioca:)

About Me

I'm a Alaskan boy who loves all the cliche Alaska activities such as fishing, hunting, off roading in my truck and dirt bike, snowboarding, and shooting. I've had many jobs ranging from working on fishing docks, picking up moose roadkill, housing construction, and so on. I love work, love having fun, and I have a passion for movies!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel. While that is a major blessing, my testimony of its truth came while I was in my teen years. I saw both sides of living the gospel, and observing the lives of those around me who did not. I made the decision that living this gospel gives me the most freedom and joy out of life, and living a life of temporary pleasures did not provide me that. I did not fully appreciate the gospel as a young pup. But as I continued to live according to its precepts, I was able to progress to learn so much more. I studied the Book of Mormon over a time and quickly came to a belief that it truly is another testament of Christ. The knowledge the fullness of the gospel gives me is priceless. Knowledge is power, and this knowledge (if you apply it) will bring you true lasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions and how I treat others around me. The Church of Jesus Christ has quite literally formed entirely who I am today. I would be in a very different position if not for its influence.

What is being a Mormon like?

As a Mormon, I have knowledge of life before earth, life here on earth, and life after we die. This being the case, I know how to live my life to the best of my ability to reach the highest degree of eternal life as our loving Heavenly Father would want for me. I have an absolute peace of mind in all areas of life and literally nothing can take that away from me. Yes, my mortal body and mind are weak, and I am still susceptible to sin and temptation, but I know how to repent through proper authority, and know how, through Christ, to better myself as an individual. It may seem like there are too many rules at first, but as a teenage curious boy like so many out there, I have come to see the true wisdom in each of the standards we are asked to uphold. Being Mormon is the best choice I have, and ever will make. Show more Show less
