Hi I'm Sam!

I'm just a crazy guy from Rexburg Idaho, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Samuel (sam) Adams! ( pretty cool name right?;)) Most people call me Blake, but I'm really ok with either.( cause Sam Adams is a really cool name!) I am the 5th of 8 children and I have learned to enjoy the craziness of a large family;) For hobbies I enjoy Kickboxing, reading, learning medical science, and other various crafts( such as metalworking, woodworking, and sketching) But the biggest thing in my life is my faith. My faith has given me direction and purpose in this world so full of darkness and confusion. With it, I have a light that I can share with others and help them too find their purpose.:) I love helping people, and because of that I am currently serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Because I know that this is the best way for me to help others and to continue to build my own faith:)

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon because of what God has done for me. When I was at a point in my life where everything seemed hopeless and I felt there was no point in continuing; God reached out and saved me. Through his Priesthood, which has been restored to the earth, I felt His arms around me. Never before have a felt such peace, love or comfort in my life. And because of that, I chose to keep going. And that's why I am a Mormon:)

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by being a missionary for the church! I am out 24/7 trying to help everyone and anyone I meet, because that's what Christ would want me to do:) serving a mission has helped me realize my purpose in this life, and that is to help others! So I guess you could say from all of this, that I live my faith by helping our brothers and sisters:)

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Sam!
Why is authority for baptism important? Well this can be explained best with an analogy, imagine you are driving down a road and a car speeds by going 20 miles over the speed limit. You speed up beside them, honking and waveing until they pull over to the side of the road. You then proceed to try and write them a ticket. Would they take it? Probably not, because you lack the authority of the law! Now imagine if a police officer pulled them over, would they take that ticket? Yes! Because that police officer has the authority of the law behind him! So with the sacred ordinance of Baptism authority, or permission from God, is essential and necessary to make it valid in Gods eyes! And that authority has been restored to the Earth and resides with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints! Show more Show less
