Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a student studying geology. I love to run and work. I'm a missionary in Texas. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of nine children (yes 9!). I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and absolutely love it there. I have just finished my first year at Brigham Young University in Geology. I love to be outdoors and love to hike, run, bike, and take pictures of the beautiful Earth we live on. I love to craft and reuse things I find. I like to sew and crochet. I love to read. My perfect day would be to cozy up with a book in my hand, wrapped in a blanket, and listening to the rain outside. I am preparing for my mission in Texas where I will be teaching and serving the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised by two great parents, eight older siblings, and countless others (teachers, family friends, etc). Many have taught me about Jesus Christ and His teachings. I love to hear the stories about Christ in the Holy Bible as well as in the Book of Mormon. Having two witnesses that Christ was on the Earth and that testify of His teachings are what keep me grounded. I love to listen to our modern-day prophets and apostles and am grateful that we have a prophet that gives revelation today for the entire Church. All the experiences in my life, the ups and the downs, the hard times and the good times, have all helped me realize how much I need this Gospel and rely on my Heavenly Father and the teachings of Jesus Christ to guide me in my journey through this life.

How I live my faith

I try to keep the commitments and covenants I have made. I try to be what God wants me to be. And that means that I have to pray each day to know what God would have me do that day. I dress modestly to show that I appreciate the body God has given me. I aim to be polite to others and respectful of others' beliefs. I listen to others' experiences and how that has drawn them closer to God and how they have grown from those hard times. I try to live each day with a smile on my face and faith in my heart.
