Hi I'm Elizabeth

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm just a nineteen year old kid! I finished my freshman year of college at USU and I loved it. It's the first time I've lived away from home besides vacations and camps. Growing up I played little league softball, rec soccer, and rec basketball. I took gymnastic tumbling for 12 years and have been teaching it for about 4. I've also taken piano lessons and was part of a children's choir for several years. I started playing lacrosse 4 years ago and was lucky enough to play on USU's club team. I love playing games, watching movies, singing, reading, and spending time with friends and family! I don't like onions, I hold Fazoli's in the highest regard, Steph Curry is my idol, and Harry Potter is my passion!!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy, more charitable, and useful. These are the most practical reasons for being a member. I receive so much satisfaction from learning about the gospel, teaching others, getting to know more people, and participating in activities. I know that without the church I wouldn't be acquainted with half as many people as I am now. Because I know so many more people and am exhorted to follow Jesus Christ, I know I'm a more charitable person and am able to serve more people. The church provides opportunities for me to use my abilities in productive ways which makes me useful and enhances skills I have obtained. However, these are really just benefits of being a member. The real reason I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is because I have experienced and felt things, no matter how small, that have shown to me that the teachings of this church are good and true. Those experiences have shown me that it is led by God through His prophets, and that God's hand is in our daily lives. I cannot deny what I've felt, and because I want to follow God and Jesus, I'm a member of their church.

How I live my faith

I love being part of the LDS church. It's the best way I know of to serve and discover the needs of others. I had the opportunity to serve as a leader to peers around me and also to play the organ in meetings. My latest calling was to help organize activities to bring people together. It was fun to brainstorm and get people to come out and participate. I'll be leaving in less than a month to serve a mission in Madrid, Spain!
