Hi I'm Ralph

I live in Idaho. My wife and I have eight grown up children and fifteen grandchildren. I rent out apartments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We have been married for almost 40 years. We have 8 children and 15 grandchildren. We have lived in Pocatello, Idaho for almost 25 years. But have lived in New Mexico, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, Utah and other parts of Idaho. I grew up in Montana, Utah and western Idaho, then served a mission to the New England area. (Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, Upstate New York, New Hampshire and Maine. Graduated with a Business Administration degree in Finance and later graduated from a technical school in Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning. Worked in the field with Industrial, Commercial and Residential Refrigeration. Started the largest refrigeration recovery business in Idaho. Moved from that business into residentail housing rentals.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be a better person and I am confident of the truthfulness of its message. I have read the scriptures (Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ.) completely many times in my life. These work together to give a more complete understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I pray, the messages found within the scriptures are verified...and I receive guidance from my Heavenly Father about what I need to do NOW. Sometimes the guidance is about what changes I need to start making in my behavior with other people. Sometimes the guidance is about things that I need to do today or soon. I have learned that I can trust that guidance. Both books The Bible and The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ...testify of the Messiah, Jesus Christ...his teachings, his guidance and both in the past and in the future. A person can see more clearly when exposed to these teachings. Confidence comes as we realize that God is truly is in charge, even though He allows man a lot of agency or free will to do many things. I would encourage any one to read The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ and see for yourself. It will change your life for the better, and then you can know for yourself rather than hearing a commentary. It is worth it. It also verifies that God still has His hands in our affairs and is trying to bless us, if we will listen. One person explained that procrastination limits future opportunities. So now is probably a good time to get started reading that amazing book.

How I live my faith

For almost twenty years I have been involved in our community. On the original fair housing committee. Organized twice to try and stop the pornography shops. Constitution Classes for the community for two years. Lately have been the Precinct Representative for the political party I have been involved with. Encouraging building precinct organizations with the other Precinct Representatives. A believer that it is the people who need to be informed of the details of the issues, in order to make good decisions. Support honest people in both parties. Most of my adult life, I have been also involved with many church activities. Creating fair booths. Working with the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master and Cub Master. Learned to camp out in the winter. Visiting monthly with individual families of the congregation to befriend, help and encourage. Served for six years as the local congregation's pastor as a volunteer position (Non paid). This congregation was in the poorest parts of our town, so the welfare needs were great...regularly spending $40,000 in housing, utilities and other needs...with another $10-15,000 in food. This opportunity for service was practically a full time job. Many wonderful experiences and friendships were developed during this time. Presently my wife and I get to go to a small community in Colorado and serve full time as missionaries for a year. We will pay our own way. This is good for us and our children and grandchildren and the many people we will get to help along the way. We will be growing closer to the Lord and his mission, this will help us to glow spiritually and physically.
