Hi I'm Garrett Heaton Finch

I grew up in a small town. I love the outdoors and competitive activities. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in a small town that has a population just over 1,500. It's fifteen minutes away from Bryce Canyon, an hour from Zion National Park, and an hour and ten minutes to the Grand Canyon. In high school I was involved in cross country, wrestling, debate, track, drama, and a few other things. My teammates and I have won seven state titles, and my graduating class won a total of 27 state titles. I love to ride horses, hang out with friends, and play games. I currently plan to serve a mission in the Philippines, afterwards I plan to become a pharmacist.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the Book of Mormon. I have read it multiple times and I cannot deny the feelings I have had when reading it. Just like with anything there are opposition, but you have to try it out yourself! I have had doubts, but I know that I am a completely different person when I am reading the scriptures on a daily basis. I am happier, more patient, and accomplish more. I know that Jesus Christ in my Savior and I am so grateful for his sacrifice. I am grateful for the restored gospel because of the knowledge that not only will I see my loved ones again, but I am sealed to them for the eternities. There is nothing better than the reassurance that I will be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I believe that the best way to live your faith is in your day to day life. I try to be an example of Jesus Christ everyday. I am so grateful for LDS temples, it truly is a place where we can become closer with our Father in Heaven and I try to go to it as often as I am able to. I honestly think that the world could use a little more religion, no matter what the religion is. While I am so grateful for other faiths, I am grateful to have not just parts of truth but a complete truth.
