Hi I'm Kevin Stones

I grew up in Colorado. I am an outdoor enthusiast and avid cyclist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Colorado in a family of 4. I am the oldest sibling, and am preparing to serve a mission in Puebla, Mexico leaving on August 16th. I enjoy the outdoors, especially when I am on a bike. When I was 12 I took up mountain biking, and it has become my main hobby ever since. I enjoy competing in races, as well as working at the local bike shop during the summer. I have an awesome and loving family, as well as good and supportive friends that make it easy to enjoy life, and have shaped me into the person that I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings peace and happiness to everybody and anybody on this Earth. I have seen the incredible support and love that this Church has brought to His people, and I have gained a testimony of God's teachings that I cannot deny. I know that if I live up to what God expects of me, I can be strengthened and guided through life, and slowly turn my weaknesses into strengths. Everybody struggles in this life, but I know that through His Church, we all can be perfected in Him.

How I live my faith

The biggest way I live my faith is through my decision to serve a mission for the LDS church in Puebla, Mexico. I have been preparing for this service my entire life, and I am blessed to finally have the chance to do so. Upon my announcement to serve for two years, I have had handfuls of people asking me about my decision. This has been an amazing opportunity to share my faith with others around me, and made it easy to spread the light of Christ with others. I have been able to stand as a witness of God in every aspect of my life from work, to school, to even everyday errands. While I do get some interesting and sometimes critical reactions to my decision, I am grateful to be able to share the gospel of Christ to people that I otherwise would never have been able to.
