Hi I'm Isabell Drake

Living in Utah. I love my family. I'm a senior in high school. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dancer on my school team as well as a studio team. I am a daughter of two active parents in the church. I have a baby brother and an older brother who is against the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the church, its always been there and I have always known it's true. I have been a member since I was 8 years old. Although I have been a member that long, I don't feel like I was truly been converted till this last year, things got real, they got hard. I realized that I couldn't do it on my own and didn't know who to turn to. That was around the time I started remembering lessons that I had been taught since I was a baby. Heavenly Father loves me with an unchanging love and he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for ME. Those simple truths changed my life again when I realized the deep and true meaning of them. They continue to keep me going and give me strength every day.

How I live my faith

I am a counselor in a group for the Young Women in my ward. I learn from teachers and participate in classes on Sunday's and actives on Wednesday.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Isabell Drake
Members of the church are asked to give ten percent of all of their earnings to the church. This is a commandment of God, first given in the Old Testament time (Genesis 14:17-20). The money is never used to pay the leaders of the church. It is used for the construction of temples and other church buildings as well as funding the missionary program, family history and temple work. The Lord reminded his people in Malachi 3:10 that by paying tithing they would be blessed. Show more Show less
