Hi I'm Melisa

I love music. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm in college as a music major at the moment. So I enjoy singing, playing the piano, and playing my Ukulele. I love writing poems and stories and I'm a passionate reader. I pass the hours drawing and doodling, and I paint with my watercolors and acrylics. I have a pet bird that keeps me company, and I have an odd love for cleaning... I love going to the rock climbing gym, and running in the mornings. I'm a big fan of sports, especially basketball and volleyball. I also enjoy going on walks with my friends and riding my bike.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the past few years it has taken special meaning to me as I've tried to figure out what it meant to be a member of his church. I know the gospel was restored because it makes us happy. the word Gospel means "Good News" and I want to share that good news with others, to give them hope and a greater understanding of our purpose in life. I love the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon alike, as they teach me more about my Savior Jesus Christ in his sacrifice. Knowing Christ died for me and can make it so my sins can be 'as white as snow, though they be re like crimson,' gives me the courage to continue improving and drawing closer to him. I'm excited to serve as a Mormon Missionary in a few months, so I can share the good news with as many people as I can.

How I live my faith

I attend a Young Single Adults ward. I work in planning activities for the ward members. Once a month we have an activity, like going mini golfing, or having a picnic. I help plan the activities so we can get all the people in our ward area, Mormons and non-Mormons, together to have some wholesome fun! I also have my mission call to Arkansas.
