Hi I'm Bryce

I grew up in Utah. I played high school football and graduated from high school as salutatorian. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and have just recently been accepted to attend college at BYU Provo. I played 6 years of football, 3 of which were with my high school team. I enjoy the outdoors and getting to know people. If I am not playing a sport or doing homework, I spend almost as much time as I can with my friends. I have a full time job that I just recently started and although it is difficult, I am getting the hang of it. I have 4 people (including me) in my family and we like to spend time together by watching movies or playing board games. My sister actually got recently engaged and will be getting married in August. Although she does annoy me sometimes, I do look up to her a lot and I appreciate what she does for me. My mom and dad have been wonderful blessings to me my life as they have helped me when I needed help, taken care of me when I was sick, or loved me when I felt no one did. I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and as I have grown I have found my own testimony and love for the true church on the earth today. I have recently received my mission call to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the space of two years. I have been called to the Chile, Osorno Mission and I leave in August. I hope and pray that I will be able to bring the light and truth of this gospel to those all I come in contact with.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For most of the beginning of my growing life I went to church because that is what my parents did, but the more I grew and started paying attention to what the church could teach me I began to grow my own testimony. There were many questions and doubts that formed in my head about different parts of the gospel, but each time that I had one of those questions, I prayed and read my scriptures, I was able to have a confirming spirit upon me to the convincing of my soul that the church was true and that Jesus Christ truly did live and still lives today. Of all the experiences in my life, experiencing that joy in the hope and belief in Christ and all that he did and still does for me tops it all. I love this gospel with all of my heart and soul and there is nothing or any one who could ever turn my heart from the gospel. I know it is true. I know it is right.

How I live my faith

I am a part of a wonderful little ward. We are often called the Friendly Fourth Ward as we are always trying to help and take interest in peoples lives. I have been called to serve in my ward as the 1st Assistant to the Bishop in which I help to plan activities and take some of that burden from the bishop for myself. I love my ward and I have been able to get to know almost every single person on an individual basis. It is awesome to get involved with service and the common threads that link all of us together. I am also a Home Teacher. My dad and I go to certain families and share with them little messages and try and take care of them with whatever they might need. Sometimes I am helping them with their yard or moving furniture around or even visiting them in the hospital when they had surgery. There is a lot of unity in all of it and I am grateful to have that opportunity to be apart of something so simple, yet so grand. I try to live my life in a way that makes myself very approachable and listening and I have had many time where friends and family (or even strangers) have come to me for help and advice. I don't do it for the praise of people, I do it truly because I love and believe in People. I love reading and partaking from the holy scriptures. There is truly so much that can be learned from them and every time I open their pages and read from them I am bettered. I truly and sincerely love this gospel and try to live my life throughout each week as someone worthily following in the footsteps of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
