Hi I'm Robert Hinckley

I was born and raised in Idaho. I traveled to Brazil. I'm going to live in Taiwan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have recently graduated from high school and am currently preparing to serve an LDS mission. Some of my current hobbies include basketball, skiing, mountain biking, playing piano, and more. I like to learn. Throughout high school I decided that I wanted to learn new skills; I learned how to fix cars, phones and computers, buying and selling on eBay, and how to refinish decks and fences. Using the new skills I learned, I made businesses out of them. I am currently self-employed and have hired many of my friends as my employees. One thing that I've learned in life is that the best boss to work for is yourself.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into an LDS family, everyone has to become converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The thing that has stood out to me the most about the LDS church is how I feel when I am following its teachings. Nothing else compares to the peace and joy felt when you know that God is pleased with how you are living your life and conversely nothing compares to the shame and guilt of making bad choices.

How I live my faith

One of the most important lessons that Jesus Christ taught while He lived on the Earth was how to serve your fellow man. Although I'm not the best at always serving other people, I find that I am most happy when I am doing things that benefit others and not myself. Through service opportunities, I have been able to meet new people and better understand the struggles/experiences that have helped shape them into the person that they currently are.
