Hi I'm Jennilyn Jorgensen

I am from Utah. I am a wife and mother of 4. I love art, yoga, healthy cooking, gardening. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Springville, Utah on a Dairy Farm in a large family. I attended college at SUU. While in college, I had many questions about my mormon faith and wanted to receive answers for myself from God that it was true. I received those answers with a resounding "YES" through a very special experience found on soaringwithhope.com. It was after this experience and putting in my mission papers and getting my mission call to Ecaudor that I would meet my husband Jayson. More than anything on this earth I wanted to be a wife to this amazing man and become a mother. We were married in the SLC Temple. Life has been one adventure after another and we have made it through some wonderful and difficult times. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that has got us through hard times and has given us great happiness. We have 4 beautiful children who continue to inspire us each day with their unique talents and gifts. Scripture study, Yoga, art, journal writing, family history, creating, healthy cooking and being a fun mom are among my very favorite joys. I love life and each day I see God's beautiful gifts surrounding me in nature, in my home and in my children. Because of the Gospel I have found complete contentment and joy with my life and hope to help others find this same happiness. It doesn't mean life is always easy...but it is beautiful because of Jesus Christ, my family and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because.... I know it is true! My greatest desire in my life besides being a wife and mother is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Because of that I have searched and sought diligently to obtain a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a firm foundation of faith that was given to me by my parents who taught us to pray, read scriptures, to fast, to attend Sacrament and to attend the Temple. While they weren't perfect, it was a wonderful foundation as a child. My mother passed away when I was 6 years old and family life became very difficult. In College, I began to have doubts about the church and the Book of Mormon being true. I believe these doubts came because I wasn't nourishing the good word of God and diligently reading the scriptures, praying and attending church as I should have been. It was during this time that a very important experience occurred. After coming out of one of my college classes two missionaries wearing T-shirts from another religion approached me. They asked if I was a Mormon. I said "Yes." They began to tell me terrible things about my religion and they became very accusatory about Joseph Smith. I tried to defend Joseph, but because I was having personal doubts I wasn't very convincing. As I walked away I started to cry and as I walked across the college fields of grass I remember praying as I cried to Heavenly Father asking to know this church was true. It would take months of soul searching, reading the book of Mormon, Marvelous Work and a Wonder and a awesome miracle and I would get to have a Alma the Younger type experience. So profound and beautiful that can be found on soaringwithhope.com It involves a living Angel that God sent to me to help me know without a doubt that this church is His church Restored to this earth by Joseph Smith and true Prophet who was called of God and truly saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My current calling is Ward Missionary. I love this calling and have had several oppurtunities to serve, fellowship and teach less active members. Several less active members are now my friends and they are great examples to me. It is true that when we truly love others that friendship can blossom and testimonies can be shared and those who have questions or need support will have the means through us and our Savior to return to full activity. I love the powerful spirit that is given in this calling. At times I am prompted with what to say that will help these wonderful people and it is a witness to me that Heavenly Father loves them so much and very aware of their personal concerns, questions and desires to help them.
