Hi I'm Hunter

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah, and am planning on serving an LDS mission next year, when I am 18. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are mainly doing with computers. All though, my favorite subject with computers is using them in a "smart" way. I also love to go camping, and hiking... especially in the mountains. I just love the outdoors. I plan on serving an LDS mission, and later going to college. After college, I plan on becoming an App and Web Developer. I also plan to get married in the temple some day, and have children.

Why I am a Mormon

All though I was born into the church (because both of my parents are LDS), I still want to, and love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love it because I not only can feel that this is the complete, and true gospel, but I also know that this is the true church. This church makes me feel happy. It makes me feel uplifted, rather than sad. I for a fact know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Thomas S. Monson, and all prophets before him (and after him) are all true prophets of God. I know that I can always pray to God no matter what. Whether I need help repenting, or help with something physical, I know God is there, and that he does indeed listen to me. I love this church, and God. I know he loves everyone, even non members.

How I live my faith

My calling right now is to go Home Teaching. This is where me, and someone else goes to other members houses. We usually go over to their house to just be friendly. We ask if they need help with anything. We will help with anything as simple as planting a seed, or as hard as helping them move. We also usually teach them a lesson, which helps the family grow closer to God.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The official Church answer (part of the answer): "After the Apostles and many righteous Church members were killed and other members departed from the truth, the Lord took the priesthood authority and His Church from the earth. Without God’s priesthood authority, the Church no longer functioned as Christ had established it. The ordinances were changed and many plain and simple truths were lost. While many good people and some truth remained, the original Church was lost." Not only was the true church lost, many also believed we do not need any more true, modern, and living prophets. They also believed there was no more to the bible. However, as revealed to Joseph Smith there was more. That is the Book of Mormon. The Lord also revealed to Joseph Smith how the true church (LDS) should be organized. We need the true gospel because without it we could not live eternally. We also would not have the fullness of God's church, which is very needed. Show more Show less
