Hi I'm Eleni

I grew up in Kearns, Utah. It is a little township in West Valley City. I am Tongan, I play rugby, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Eleni. I am Tongan. I go to Salt Lake Community College and I am hoping to transfer to the University of Southern California or the University of Utah in the next few years. I am a rugby player and I do enjoy playing volleyball when the season isn't going on. I love reading and writing, especially poetry. I love art and I love to create it as well. I have a passion for music. I also like to sing and dance even though I am definitely not the greatest at it, it is something I enjoy doing. I love the outdoors; hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I love trying new things. There's a little bit about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true, without a doubt in my heart and in my mind, I know it is true. I know God lives and he loves each and everyone of more than we'll ever be able to comprehend and understand. He knows us better than anyone else. I love him, I trust him, and I am beyond grateful for the things he constantly does for me and gives me. God is good and he will never leave us lost and alone. We can always talk to him and ask him for help through the power of prayer. We receive peace, comfort, strength and so much more by doing so. He hears and answers all prayers through his timing and in his way that he knows is best for us. I know that he loves us so much that he gave His Only Begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. I am grateful for his sacrifice and his love for me that he was willing to do so. I know through the atonement we can be healed and we can find peace and relief if we use it in our daily lives. I know that God has called many amazing prophets to lead and guide us through these last days. I know Joseph Smith was one of them and he restored the gospel here upon the Earth again. I know our prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, was called of God and he is an instrument in the Lord's hand and he loves and cares for us dearly. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and it is another testament of our Savior. It works hand in hand with the Bible and supports it. I know that through this beautiful and simple gospel that we can find our true selves and that we can come unto him to feel his love, comfort, and infinite blessings. I know that families can be together forever and there is more in store for us after this life. I know the Plan of Salvation is what Heavenly Father has given us to succeed in this life. Everything he does is for us to grow, learn, and reach our full potential. Failing is not what he has in mind. He knows all. I love this gospel, I love our Heavenly Father and I truly love being a Mormon. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out with the youth. I specifically work with the beautiful young women of my ward. At certain times, I also get the chance to help with the primary. They are just loads of fun. I also feel that I live my faith by serving a mission. The Brazil Campinas mission is the mission I have been called to serve and labor in. Also, doing little things like, doing acts of service and love, or talking to my non member or inactive friends and family about the gospel are other ways I live my faith.
