Hi I'm Matthew Aiello

I am from Meridian Idaho. I love playing tennis and baseball. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love baseball and tennis, I played baseball until I was 14 years old at which point I broke my knee cap and had to quit, then I switched to playing tennis and have been doing that since. I will be attending BYUI after I finish my mission in Tucson Arizona. I have 4 siblings, 1 brother and 3 sisters. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends and just sitting down and talking to people.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in high school I struggled with depression and anxiety. I suffered through this at this time looking for an escape route and trying to coupe with it. Finally after trying to power through it for almost a year, I couldn't take it anymore. I went down to my knees and told Heavenly Father what was going on and that I couldn't take it anymore and that I needed His help if I was going to get through it. After I was done praying I instantly felt His love for me and that everything was going to be OK. I am a Mormon because I have asked our Heavenly Father whether this church is true or not and He told me that it was. I know that if you have a desire and you study it out in your mind and through scripture study, that God will also tell you whether this church is true or not as well. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and suffered for our sins. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel on the earth in these, the Latter Days. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on the earth and can receive revelation for the church. I know that through the Plan of Salvation that we will all be able to live again just as Jesus Christ rose from the dead after dying on the cross. I know that we can all live with Heavenly Father again through the cleansing power of the Atonement.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in the Tucson Arizona Mission. I have recently been moved to a new ward, but in my old ward I was the second assistant to the bishop in the priest group and the priesthood choir director. I am taking a mission preparation class at the LDS Institute in the campus of Boise State University. While in high school, I was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and The Business Professionals of America where I participated in many competitions and service projects.
