Hi I'm Jacob

I live in Mesa AZ. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend my time playing guitar, piano, and singing. I used to play football until I had a traumatic brain injury while playing basketball. I believe that though I will permanently be deaf in one ear because of my injury, the Lord has greatly blessed me through healing and by teaching me important life lessons. I will shortly be leaving to serve a full time mission in Toronto, Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I'm one of those mormons where my family on both sides goes so far back in the church that many would assume I'm a Mormon because that's what my family does. However, I testify that I have come to know for myself through personal revelation - revelation that I could not deny if I wanted to - that this church is true. My witness came specifically about the Book of Mormon after praying about its divine origin, and that testimony then extended to all other aspects of the Church because I know that if that book is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and the Church was truly restored. I invite anyone who reads this to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know for themselves if it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preparing to serve the people of Canada for the next two years of my life. One of my favorite sayings is that a missionary is someone who leaves their family for a short time so that they can help other families be together for eternity. I believe this to be true, and cannot wait to bring this message and the message of Christ to the Toronto people.
