Hi I'm Paige

I am from Utah. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition and I want to go to PA School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Paige. I am one of 11 children. I have 26 nieces and nephews. I absolutely love my family. I just graduated from school with a Bachelors Degree in Human Nutrition and Allied Health. For the past few years, I have been able to work at a doctors office as a Medical Assistant. My future goal is to attend school to become a Physician's Assistant. I loved my job and everyone I've worked with. I love traveling, I have been all around the world. Some places I have been are Egypt, Israel, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, New York, California, Italy and Switzerland. I enjoy learning about other cultures and developing a broader understanding for them. Since I was young I have always loved to cook. I love to make different meals and desserts and share them with others. I have a tender spot in my heart for service. I know that service brings out the best in people and I love to be of service to others. I also love to dance. I have danced my whole life some styles of dance I especially enjoy are ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Dancing has taught me different ways to express myself and to let go as well as build up my emotions.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but from the time I was little I knew that I always wanted it to be a part of me. It wasn't until I was in middle school that I knew I wouldn't be able to live with out it. I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land. There I was able to walk were Jesus walked, to see where he was born and crucified. I knew the moment that I walked to the place Jesus was born that he indeed was there in past and present. The spirit was so strong, I felt calm, peaceful and his arms around me. It brought me to tears to be so close to where He was and still dwells. From that moment on I have never doubted that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that it was through the Holy Ghost testifying to me that this is the true. I have prayed like Joseph Smith. I have had a confirmation in my heart that he did restore the gospel. Through this church I have learned so many things and it has made me want to be a better person. The church just makes since, everything falls together like a puzzle. Being able to go to the Sacred Grove and feel the spirit that still dwells there brings peace to my heart. I know that there are latter day prophets that lead the church today. I love that I have the opportunity to hear from them. These men are called of God and are his voice. If we listen to the Holy Ghost he will direct our paths even in the smallest of ways. One example for me was when I was searching on what to do next with my life after I graduated college: I was praying whether or not to go on a mission and searching diligently for an answer. It wasn't until I went to the temple and prayed for a matter of time that I got an answer. I found it in Doctrine and Covenants 4, the first scripture I turned to. Christ works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it isn't in the way that we want or think we need, but it is what we need. He is there to lead and guide us in every aspect of our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a variety of ways. Something I have learned is to always live up to your standards even when there is pressure around you to lower them. In my community I am able to teach others what I believe by being an example to them. To share, include and teach them about what I know to be true. This past year, I was called to be a teacher in my singles ward. This calling was very intimidating to me. I know that so many people know more about the gospel than I do, but I was called of God and if he believes in me I should do the same. Through this trial I was taught that no matter what, God will be with you the whole way. I was also able to be the President of my young women group. I was able to organize and prepare activities as well as services projects to help others in our community. I've helped with service projects around the world providing different toys and needed supplies. Through visiting teaching I have met many new individuals. These individuals probably weren't people that I would originally befriend but now they are very close friends to me. They have affected my life and taught me how to be a better friend and person. I was able to help others in time of need and provide the love and support that they were missing.
