Hi I'm Alec

I grew up in Layton, Utah. I play football, lacrosse, and track. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play football, track, and lacrosse. I love to listen to music, hangout with friends, and go on adventures. I'm an Eagle Scout with a silver palm and Denali Award. I plan to attend Utah State University on an academic scholarship after I come home from my mission in Tampa, Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I made the decision to be baptised at the young age of 8, I still feel the same feeling of truth in this gospel that I did when I first joined the church. It may be hard at times for me to be completely consistent with my studying, prayer, and obedience to the things the prophet and apostles ask of us, I know without a doubt that this church teaches the truth and that if I follow it's teachings then I will be blessed with eternal life. No one is perfect, but we can strive everyday to follow Jesus Christ's example of perfection as we repent and are forgiven of our sins.

How I live my faith

Through the Boy Scouts of America program I honor my Eagle scout promise by pushing other scouts to obtain the rank of eagle and helping them finish their eagle projects. I have served on both NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) and Kodiak to help teenagers understand what thing are effective when leading and how to be a good example and leader. I have had the opportunity of being a Senior Patrol Leader, Varsity Team Captain, and Venturing Crew President in the scouting program. I have also served as a Deacon's Quorum President, Teacher's Quorum President, and Priest's Quorum 1st assistant. All of these great opportunities to teach and be taught have really pushed me to want to share this knowledge and gospel of Jesus Christ through an LDS mission in Tampa, Florida.
