Hi I'm Joseph Bradshaw

I am from Parowan, Utah. I am a runner. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission in Monterrey Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Joseph Buddy Bradshaw and I was born in Paragonah, UT and currently live in Parowan, UT. I was born to a family with 7 crazy brothers and sisters, and they bring much joy and guidance to me the second youngest of the bunch. I just recently graduated high school, and one thing that stands out in my academics is math, I was my schools Math sterling scholar and it's always been something I've enjoyed, weird I know. I also ran cross country and track in high school as well. After graduating I'm currently getting ready for the next stage of my life. I currently work for a farm in the Parowan Valley. It is hard work working on a farm but it has taught me some great lessons so far. I also am currently working towards serving a mission in Monterrey Mexico which begins September 27th with me reporting to the Mexico City MTC.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family that has predominantly been Mormon, with my mom and dad being born into this gospel, and for this I am grateful but at the same time it had some drawbacks. One of these drawbacks was that I began to take this amazing gospel for granted, and I wasn't really doing the best I can to be a servant of God. It wasn't till about a couple years ago that I really changed how I viewed this church. My seminary teacher told me that if we came to church and seminary with a good attitude and wanted to learn and feel the spirit that we would have a lot better experience than if we weren't, and that really struck me because I wasn't really doing that I was simply going through the motions. Ever since then I have enjoyed this gospel so much, and I can tell you I have found the greatest appreciation for all that our Heavenly Father has done for me and everyone on this Earth. It is since then that I know why I am a Mormon it isn't because it is what my family has always done, it is simply because the fact that this gospel has brought so much joy to my life and has guided me to become the man I am today. I know that Joseph Smith has restored the true church back to the Earth again, and I know that we have a loving prophet and apostles today who love us and have power to receive revalation that guide us through the torment that this changing world brings. I know that the scriptures and more specifically the Book of Mormon can bring guidance and most of all for me comfort in our lives. I know that families can be together forever through Heavenly Father's plan of happiness for us his children. I know this church is the one true church and nothing could ever change that for me because it is through this church that I feel love from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ every single day.

How I live my faith

I currently have no calling because I'm preparing for my ultimate calling of serving a mission in Monterrey Mexico. I have always been a member of this great church but it really hasn't been till the last two years that I have truely been converted. This gospel now plays a huge role in my life and I can feel the love of my Heavenly Father in every day of my life. Our whole world truely testifies of God's amazing love for us, and I can only hope to serve him as much as possible and be a tool in his hands, because I know that I can never really pay back for all the amazing things God and our savior Jesus Christ has done for me, but I am going to try my best because I know that they are the force that drives mine and all of our lives. It is this reason that I have primarily decided to serve a mission. However, another big key motivator to me serving a mission is knowing that others don't have this amazing gospel, and I want them to have it because it has been the biggest source of happiness for me and for my family. I know that serving a mission is going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life but I also know that just like 1 Nephi 3:7 says, the lord provides no commandments that are impossible for me to achieve. With God we literally can accomplish anything.
