Hi I'm Shanna Hamilton

I grew up, mainly, in North Carolina. I'm a Linguistics major at BYU. I will soon be serving a mission in Sao Paulo. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and my favorite things to do are read, listen to music, and go on adventures with my friends. I attend BYU and plan on studying linguistics. I attended three high schools and thus now enjoy to move around and meet new people! I leave for a mission on June 22nd, 2016 and will be serving in the Brazil Sao Paulo South mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church is true. Because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was really God's true church on the earth, and it was confirmed to me that it indeed is his church restored in these days. I am a member because I love Christ and I know that He has done everything for me so that I can have eternal life, and I want to do all I can to serve God's children and show my gratitude for this great gift that is offered to each of us.

How I live my faith

Over the years in Young Women I had many leadership callings, but my most reason, and most beloved calling, was being an FHE Mom at BYU. Basically, in this calling I got to plan activities for our "family" of college students and it gave me a unique opportunity to serve and love my roommates in ways that I never could have imagined. This helped me to develop such a strong testimony of the importance of creating family wherever we are and loving everyone through all their hard experiences.
