Hi I'm Ray

I was baptized on Easter Sunday in 2000 in Bellevue, Washington, and my new life has been full of happiness.

About Me

I am a hard working, car and dog loving, native Californian who loves to sail, golf and ski. I spent many years searching for the gospel and it has brought wonderful changes into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I felt close to the Savior before I became a Latter-day Saint and attended many different churches. But one morning in the summer of 1999, I awoke with a strong, undeniable impression that significant changes were going to come into my life and bring me great joy. I didn't know at that time what they would be. About two months later, I met the person I would marry and she introduced me to her LDS faith. I decided to take the missionary lessons and they made me feel the spirit strongly and many questions I had had about God and my purpose on earth were answered. In reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed about passages in the book of Jacob and my prayers were answered within that week. At that time, I knew the Book of Mormon was not written by man but was the word of God, translated by Joseph Smith. From that time on I knew the restored gospel was true and committed to being baptized on Easter Sunday, 2000. I will never forget coming up out of the water and how wonderful I felt and had a strong feeling of joy. Many changes followed my baptism. I was transferred to California by my company of thirty years, was married, retired and began a new job. I was given opportunities in the church to serve that have helped me know many wonderful people and have given me joy and increased my testimony that God hears and answers prayers and that the restored gospel is true.

How I live my faith

My faith is something that motivates me to live life as Jesus taught us to live. I have had a testimony of Jesus Christ for many years but it wasn't until I joined the church that I felt like I had made a full commitment to keep His commandments.
