Hi I'm Wes

I'm the second of eight happy kids. I love rugby, rock climbing, and football. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My mom joined the church in Florida when she was nineteen. My dad's great grandparents were Mormon pioneers. Twenty-plus years after they met and married in the Salt Lake Temple, I'm the product of their very different personalities. Throughout my time in high school I worked hard in athletics and academics to achieve my personal best and have fun with my friends. I dream to be a doctor someday because I feel driven to learn, help people, and make a difference in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

The Apostle Paul taught, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13). Knowing this truth has guided my life beyond description. Whenever I am Physically, Emotionally, or Spiritually Exhausted I remember that if God is with me, no opposition will stand. Another Prophet named Moroni wrote, "Charity suffereth long, and is kind...rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things...endureth all things" (Moroni 7:45). This charity is something I want. I want to be able to love people the way God does and endure and bear all things. I know that if I live as a faithful Mormon I will find triumph in all that I do.

How I live my faith

I love to study and learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ because It brings me a peace, love, and joy that cannot be found anywhere else. The more I learn, the more I want to share these great blessings with others and I have the opportunity to do just that. I've been called to serve as an LDS missionary, which for me means I'll go to Lima, Peru and dedicate two years of my life to sharing the love and joy of Christ as restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith and still communicated to us through Latter-Day Prophets.
