Hi I'm Kayla

I'm a videographer, Star Wars nerd, Elvis fanatic, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University, studying History with a videography business on the side. I'm also a future Sister Missionary for the Australia Sydney South Mission speaking English. I love to travel, a lot! I love seeing countries and different cultures. I can also appreciate a short road trip. I love watching movies (especially in a theater with a giant screen), but I'm always up for an adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and grew up being the only member in my High School, aside from my older sister. Now fast forward to attending a university where almost everyone is an LDS member, I realized how lucky I was to have grown up in the missionary field. I was able to live my testimony and share it with those who didn't have a clue who Mormons were. This experience brought the foundation of my testimony. Everything I believe has made me a stronger and happier person who knows her purpose in this life. I chose as a kid, and I continue to choose everyday to be a Mormon, and I couldn't imagine my life being any different.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission in Sydney, Australia, taking break from my normal life and spending 18 months helping others to learn about our gospel and beliefs which has brought me so much peace, happiness, direction, and guidance in my life, something I believe that everyone needs. Growing up in a non-LDS community, I've understood the importance of missionary work as I've realized how badly everyone needs the knowledge of their self worth (being a son/daughter of God), the knowledge of the gift of Jesus Christ's healing and atoning sacrifice, and to feel God's love for them. As I embark on my mission in a couple of months, loving others and growing a bond and friendship with Heavenly Father's other children across the world is how I'll live my faith.
