Hi I'm Ashley

I like Physics, being outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at Brigham Young University. I'm currently a Physics Teaching major and hope to minor in Astronomy and Mathematics. I'm the oldest of five children and I love spending time with my family. I've grown up loving music and I've learned to play the piano, violin, and recently the organ. I love to be outdoors playing volleyball, hiking and biking. I will leave soon for my mission for the LDS church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon so I was raised Mormon, but I've decided for myself that I will remain a Mormon. I love this church. I know that this is the true and living church of Jesus Christ on this earth today. I know this because it has the fullness of Christ's gospel, and when I live by its teachings I'm happy. I know our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and that He loves us, and I've felt this as I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And because I believe in a loving Heavenly Father, I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored Christ's church on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that families can be together forever. I love this church.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm a teacher for the youth on Sundays. In the past I helped with the music as a chorister for our Sunday meetings. I've also had the opportunity to be a visiting teacher, which means I get to visit other women in our congregation once a month to share a quick gospel message and serve them. In my earlier teenage years I had the chance to participate on our Springville City Youth Council and I've also served on Youth Councils in our religion. I love getting to work with people in my city and faith. By serving a mission I'm trying to help others come unto Christ and learn of the happiness His gospel can bring.
