Hi I'm Kenton

I'm currently a missionary serving in the Alps, I have webbed toes, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a pretty simple guy. I love where I live (Utah). I have been raised in the church by a single mother along with my 2 sisters. I have just recently graduated high school, and plan to serve an LDS mission this summer. My mom is the only active member of the church in her family, but we still maintain a very close relationship with all extended family. I enjoy all sports, playing and watching. I played high school tennis, but also play football, basketball, softball, and lacrosse. I enjoy the outdoors, and going up into the mountains to hike or build a fire. I'm a very happy person who finds joy in serving others and making other people happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to move forward in my life with the gospel being the certain of my life, because nothing brings me more joy. The gospel has blessed my lives in so many ways, I just can't imagine not having it in my life. The gospel is centered on families, and in the center of that family focus, is Jesus Christ. And with family being my highest priority, that makes Jesus Christ, my brother, my highest priority as well. And with Jesus Christ being the leader and director of this church, I choose to follow Him knowing that I am choosing my family as well.

How I live my faith

I faithfully attend church every week. Having just graduated, I am making the transition to the youth classes and moving up to more of the adult classes. Outside of the regular Sunday meetings, I home teach 2 different families in my neighborhood with my bishop who is my home teaching companion. I just recently graduated from seminary, which is a release period at my high school where you go and learn about the gospel, and increase your knowledge. And with me preparing to serve a mission, I have a lot of extra studying that I participate in with my friends who are going on missions, family, and other people who are preparing me for my mission. I also attend the temple as often as I can. I have 2 temples within a 20 minute drive from my house, so I try to attend as often as possible to take a break from the busy and loud world and to receive personal guidance in my life.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Kenton
This church is the church of Jesus Christ. He leads it. He directs it. He is the one who organized it. With Jesus Christ leading this church, there is no way it can fail. It can only succeed and grow. Show more Show less
