Hi I'm Jer

I love to do lost of service for local charities, love the outdoors, sports are my life, studying Pre-Med at the U of U.

About Me

I am just graduate from high school and felt the desire to serve the Lord our Savior for two years to help others be with their families for eternity. I was the senior class president of 2016 and have been on Student government every single year in a row since 6th grade. I was a member of the football, track, x-country, ruby, and gymnastics teams all throughout high school. I have snowboarded and skied for 11 years and have worked for gopro camera inc. while doing it. I'm a very adventurous person who has never backed down on an opportunity. That's how I got into boating, dirt biking, 4 wheeling, skydiving, parkour, cliff jumping, and many other fun activities. I am very strong in the LDS church because I had found of myself from personal experience that it is the one true church on earth, with all of its teachings. University of Utah Pre-Med Major!

Why I am a Mormon

My father went on his mission to Mexico and while serving the lLord, he was blessed to find his eternal companion while he baptized her. Although this is not the intent of a mission, the Lord blessed him with the opportunity to be able to return to his mission after honorably serving his full 24 months, and begin dating her to eventually bring her to the temple and into a family of their own. I was then born into the church, but of course given the opportunity to choose for myself if it was the true church. I knew without a doubt that with all of the happy members, tremendous services carried out through the church, and miracles that we saw though ordinances, marriages, and even being set apart that this was one true church. A fire burned in my soul to show everyone I knew that it was an amazing church. So I did exactly that, and invited all of my non-member friends to attend with me, some of whom are now members. That was when I realized I had made a small difference in the church, and as a missionary, a messenger of our Lord and Savior's gospel, I could make a big difference.

How I live my faith

I have been the President of the deacons and teachers quorums, as well as the 1st councilor in the priest quorum. I am frequently given the opportunity to teach the lessons in the priest quorum, and I find it a huge blessing to be able to do so. I truly enjoy the opportunity to give talks in sacrament, and bring the sacrament to those who are sick or afflicted. Serving those around me in my community is always a great way to build my spirit. My favorite charity org. is one called Make-A-Wish. It is an organization that gives children who are going through a hard medical time to be able to have a charity sponsored "wish" to help them through their times and have a happier life, and to help them feel for at least one day, that they can be whatever they want without the medical infirmity limiting them. I have always seem myself as a true son of God, being human though I know I cannot be perfect and that I make mistakes. With the atonement though, I know without a doubt that we all can become perfect, as keep our lives on the straight and narrow path towards true and eternal happiness. Although I have never seen a God face to face, I have seen His impact on the world around us, and can say without a doubt that He is the one and only God, and that He loves each and every one of us.
