Hi I'm Dianne

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. My heritage is from Sri Lanka. I go to BYUI. I love painting and cooking! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Dianne. I am a university student studying Communications. My passion is public speaking and one of my dreams is to give a TED talk. I love working and getting to know other people. During my free time, I enjoy spending it with my family and friends. I enjoy painting, playing the piano and the outdoors. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was 3 months old. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and want to share it with you!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my entire life. However, I choose to be a Mormon because I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have constantly seen how my faith in this gospel and my obedience to the commandments have blessed my life. As I have kneeled down in prayer countless times alone in my room and just talked to my Father in Heaven, I have felt His love in my life. I have also felt the Spirit testifying to me the truthfulness of His gospel. I cannot deny what God wants for all His children. He wants us to find eternal happiness through Him. I am a Mormon because I have seen how the Atonement of Jesus Christ has continually brought relief and renewal into my life - to have second chances to be better. I am a Mormon because I truly believe in the Book of Mormon and we are so blessed to have it alongside the Bible. I truly believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I am a Mormon because I have come to know my Saviour and my Father in Heaven. I have come to know these things through the Spirit. You can know these things to be true for yourself by asking God in faith. Truly, I have a testimony that God gave us a way to be happy and return to Him and live in joy forever. For that, I am forever grateful.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily effort. To build my faith in the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, I try to pray, read the scriptures every day and attend church every Sunday. I think the best way to live my faith is just to follow Jesus Christ's example, of unconditional love, do service and think beyond ourselves. This Gospel of Jesus Christ is to bring God's children to the Saviour. In my ward, I have had different volunteer callings to be a ward missionary, compassionate service leader or others. It has blessed my life. As I have had these callings, I have been able to feel a small dose of Christ's love for all of God's children.
