Hi I'm Daniel

When I think of the reasons for why I choose to be Mormon, I believe it is to first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

About Me

I became a Mormon because my outlook was to work at being a better person. I wanted to open up my mind and open my heart to all things pertaining to God. One thing that stood out to me from the Book of Mormon, was the address of King Benjamin. In this address he talks of giving the people of Nephi a name that can never be blotted out. After my baptism I took this very seriously, and through the Lord's grace I chose to take on his name and follow him in all things. Through difficult times I find strength and courage in our Lord, Jesus Christ. One thing I do know is I'm not perfect, and I don't expect others to be perfect. We are all God's children. I have a firm testimony that my Savior lives and that the holy prophets and scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ are true.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member for about 10 years. I have been truly blessed to meet some really great friends and become more involved in my community. Before my conversion I had gone through life in spiritual blindness. Although I knew the Savior loved me, I realized that more was necessary for me to live a happy life and enter into the Celestial Kingdom. I love the Savior Jesus Christ, as I love others who had such a good influence on me. If you will read the Book of Mormon and pray on this book, I promise you that it will bless your life.

How I live my faith

I believe I have faith, the cornerstone of which is the Savior. At one point in my life I decided that I would seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. This gave me the opportunity to make a promise to Him, and to myself that I would keep His commandments. I also put Him in the forefront of my mind. This world isn’t perfect, and while I can hope to be my best, there are times my faith is tested; tested quite heavily. My purpose for writing this is to describe a faith that is so strong, nothing in this world can tear you from promises made to God. God is eternal, all loving, and all powerful. I hope to feel the love of Christ so fully; the world and its much tribulation will never persist. When I get down, I know how to bring my spirits up! When I get to a quiet place, what I do is clear my mind and pray! The next thing I do is learn all I can about the Savior, through reading scriptures, or studying church talks, or reading the Ensign. It’s that personal relationship with God that will save you from moments of temporary unbelief. Its helped me tremendously when I doubt myself, but also saves me from sin as well. Thanks for reading!
