Hi I'm Teancum Kaitoku

I grew up in Laie, Hawaii. I dance hula, fireknife, and other Polynesian dances. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Hawaii and danced hula as well as dances from several Polynesian cultures. I performed at the Polynesian Cultural Center for close to 13 years as well as the Living Legends dance group at BYU. I am a Native Hawaiian. I also played the French Horn throughout high school and love everything about music including: singing, dancing, and performing. I love anything involving the beach and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born into the church and a family that upheld the gospel standards. For a time, I relied heavily upon the testimony of my parents. As I grew up, I realized that I needed my own testimony of the church. I developed that testimony through studying the Book of Mormon and praying to know of its truthfulness. By doing so, I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is true. The Prophet Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. He did see God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. And through him, they restored the fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ again on the Earth. You do not have to take my words, or the missionaries' words, or even the leaders of the Church's word that this is the true church. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon with real intent and ask God if this is not true. If you ask with real intent, you will receive that affirmation as I have.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the Oakland/San Francisco, California mission where I have left my family for 2 years so that others can be with their family for eternity.
