Hi I'm Christine

I am a "Millennial." I grew up in California. I attend Utah State. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a twenty-something young single adult and I am loving my life! I am currently studying biochemistry and it is incredible to learn about the miracles of creation and to see how God orchestrates life. In my spare time, I spread uplifting messages about the gospel, read books, try my hand at drawing, listen to music, write creatively, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been lucky being able to have the restored gospel for all my life. Yet there have been trails in my life, where my faith was hanging on the thread. I knew what was right and what was wrong, but everything seemed so confusing and I just felt worthless. But I never lost faith in the knowledge that God lives and that He loves me. It was like a small lamp burning feebly, but still burning inside me. But I put my trust in God and in His Son, and it has changed my life. My testimony of faith and repentance has grown so much. I am constantly encouraged through prayer and the Spirit's reassurance that God hears my prayers. I know Jesus Christ came to this earth, and atoned for the sins of mankind. He has made it possible to be forgiven, time and time again, if we come to Him in faith and humility. He will heal us, through all our pains, sorrows, and concerns. Because He lives, so will I. So will you. I am able to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity. With Jesus Christ, death and sin have no victory. All we have to do is "come unto Christ, and be perfected in Him."

How I live my faith

In my young single adult ward, I have been called on the activities committee, which has been wonderful. We are able to discuss and come up with wholesome activities for our ward's family home evening, which is often the only way that we are able to reach those who are less active. It is great knowing that by fulfilling my calling, I can help others to feel welcome and invite them to be part of our ward and hopefully, to be part of the gospel as well. Another way to live my faith is by being "an example of the believers," in home and at school, wherever I may be. Sometimes it can be as simple as showing kindness, and other times, I have to act upon the courage the Lord blesses me with. But every time I do, I know that I am doing God's will and uplifting His children, which is incredible. I am so grateful that I have had the gospel my entire life, and that I know of my Father in Heaven, and of His Son, Jesus Christ, my Savior. That knowledge has given me so much strength during times where life felt hopeless. Yet, because of Him, I am able to have hope.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Christine
The Atonement of Jesus Christ allows all of us, through sincere faith, to be forgiven of our sins, and be reconciled to God. The Atonement also allows Christ to comfort, heal, inspire, and encourage because He is the only One who can completely understand us, individually. I promise that if you come unto Him, and repent with real and sincere intent, you will be forgiven. It is possible through Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
