Hi I'm Jacci

I'm an artist, student, and love animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Pre-Medicine and Art. While I am not at school, I live with my mother and father, 3 cats and 2 dogs. I enjoy drawing, painting, and listening to music. I have a deep appreciation for several fandoms: Marvel, Tolkien, Harry Potter, Disney, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and others. I have seen Wicked twice in Dayton, OH and always look forward to viewing other theatrical shows. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in San Diego, California. I really look forward to helping others come unto Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

As I was born to parents who had converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have grown up learning the truths and principles taught by prophets of old in the scriptures. While I have lived a relatively normal life, it has not been without its hardships. I guess the reason I love and continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ is because I have had several instances where the Holy Spirit has answered questions I had in life and I have felt Heavenly Father's love for me. I know that Christ died for us so that one day, everyone on Earth can be resurrected and live with our Heavenly Father again if we obey and repent in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have served in several callings in the youth program for girls, called Young Women's, and have also served many other ways in the Church and community of my hometown. I strive my best to live my life off of the pattern that Jesus Christ set for us on earth today by obeying the commandments given to us by the prophets and apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am currently serving a mission for the Church.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God, or Heavenly Father, is loving and cares about us, his spirit sons and daughters. We are created in His image, and He created a Plan of Happiness which includes the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Overall, Heavenly Father wants all his children to return to Him by obeying the commandments. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

For me, the beauty of this world, like sunrises over the mountains, the flight and songs of birds, and more tell me that a greater force than just mere chance organized what used to be chaos in the cosmos. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a witness one makes to others about spiritual knowledge that they have learned to be true. Simply knowing the facts and principles of the Restoration of the Gospel, The Book of Mormon, the Plan of Salvation, words of the prophets, and other important Gospel information doesn't necessarily constitute a testimony. It is through studying these things and praying to Heavenly Father for a conformation of the Holy Spirit that the raw knowledge of the Gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints becomes a testimony.
