Hi I'm Connie Lynn Mansell

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Granger, Utah. A mother of five.

About Me

I graduated from college. My profession is helping others, I love motherhood. I love keeping a nice home and cooking for my husband. I love doing activities with our family and friends. I love to go camping, hiking and vacation. I love to garden. I love nature. I love to watch a good football and basketball game and play golf with my husband. I love good books and I love to learn. I learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in my early 20's. The Book of Mormon changed my life. In studying the Book of Mormon, I have, line upon line and precept upon precept, personally experienced the , concepts, principles, doctrine, and eternal truths, that are taught in the Book of Mormon, and have come to know and love Jesus Christ our Savior and what the Atonement of Jesus Christ means to me personally.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in my early 20's a woman approached me about the 'Mormon' church, I told her I was not interested, but she would not listen. She continued to approach me about the 'Mormon' church, and I began to be rude to her and told her bluntly to, "Leave me alone I am not interested", but she would not listen. She continued to approach me about the 'Mormon' church inviting me to read the book, Added Upon, she then handed the book to me and walked away before I could respond. I read the book, I thought it was a cute story about a life before we were born, this life with temples and eternal marriage, and a life after this one. I returned the book telling her I had read the book, thanked her, and then with a rude tone I said, "Will you leave me alone now?" But, she would not listen, she approached me by inviting me to have lunch with her at her home. She was persistent and I accepted. After our lunch she shared with me what she knew about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. She caught my interest and reeled me in. I wanted to know more. She then directed me to some resources about the 'Mormon Church', and the life of Jesus Christ and His 'Resurrection'.

How I live my faith

I nurture my faith every day by reading the Book of Mormon. I have NOT stopped reading the Book of Mormon since the Gospel of Jesus Christ came into my life. When I nurture my body with food I also nurture my spirit with the word of God. I nurture my faith by praying to Heavenly Father every morning when I get up and every evening when I go to bed, and at times in between. Along with prayer, there are times when I feel the need to fast - this strengthens my faith. Prayer is as important to me as it is breathing air to keep me alive. Partaking of the Sacrament each Sunday strengthens and renews my faith to carry on in my personal life no matter what comes my way. Service refreshes my soul and strengthen my faith. I bear my witness that by me doing those things that strengthen my faith, the Lord through His Spirit nurtures me and strengthens me.
