Hi I'm Shane Tambanivoul

I love sports such as soccer, track ,and swimming . I'm a Mormon and serving a mission in the New Hampshire Manchester mission.

About Me

I am the only member of the church in my family and I enjoy doing sports because this is one of my favorite hobby that I like to do to stay in good shape and be healthy. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints totally my an expect in my life and help me to remember who I am and what God expect me to become as I take the step to live his gospel righteously. Because, “There are times when we have to step into the darkness in faith, confident that God will place solid ground beneath our feet once we do. And so I accepted gladly, knowing that God would provide." I can keep pressing forward in this world that is not easy nowadays and living the gospel help me to come closer to my saviour and my Father in heaven. I'm the younger of 4 and currently serving a mission in the New Hampshire Manchester mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I wanted to be a missionary ever since I joined the church in August 2014. It started as a simple desire and continued to grow as I started to learn English in BYU and live with returning missionaries for two years and a half. Because I was the only member of my family and a student my savings for my mission built up slowly and I wasn’t sure how things would work out since I'm international and it will take a long time to get my papers in. I submitted my mission paper three times and I have faith that everything will work out if I keep having faith in my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. While I was attending Family home evening, I read Ether 12:12: “For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.” And Then on the same day I read an article in an ensign and I read a message from President Spencer W. Kimball (1895–1985) regarding faith: “It takes faith—unseeing faith—for young people to proceed immediately with their family responsibilities in the face of financial uncertainties. … It takes faith to fill full-time missions. But know this—that all these are of the planting, while faithful, devout families, spiritual security, peace, and eternal life are the harvest.” These teachings helped me understand that I needed more faith to submit my mission papers and to be a full-time missionary. I knew that even though it was hard, God would help me. Sometimes we must move forward in faith until our way is illuminated. President James E Faust said “Let us not take counsel from our fears ,and put our Faith in God, and live worthy for Him to direct us". I know that Heavenly Father made it possible for me to submit my mission papers. I know that if I continue to trust in Him and to act in faith, he will make impossible things possible. He will answer all our prayers. D& C 4: 3 " Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work" and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Since I become a member of the church, I attend my sacrament meeting every Sunday so that I can help the church for the future. I was in a missionary committee for two semesters and I was happy that I helped people to use the LDS tool and learn how to prepare to be a missionary by using these tools that the church provide us. Me and my friends who was in the group, we helped others who were not active of the church become a little active so that they can receive blessings and have faith in god. I have faith in thee son Jesus Christ because I received a lot of blessings that I didn't expected in my life. I live my faith through prayers, scripture study, and attending church every Sunday.
