Hi I'm Mackenzie Ockler

I grew up in Utah, I was called to serve as a missionary to the France, Lyon mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I grew up in the church and although I was born into the church I still wanted to know for myself that the things I had been taught were true. Now that I know, I have chosen to devote 18 months of my life to teaching others of the light that the gospel brings to all those who will open their hearts to God and His disciples here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

In the lds church, we teach that families can be eternal if we follow the commandments and live a good life in the eyes of God. Family is very important to me, and the first time this teaching really hit home was when on my 16th birthday my grandpa passed away. I was distraught and I felt alone so I turned to the Lord and this teaching carried me through this very difficult time in my life. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true and I know that by following its teachings, I can live with my family members who have passed, again, when I leave this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my calling as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I work everyday to learn the language of the mission and remain obedient to the rules that are set in place to keep me safe. I work everyday to learn French because I was called to serve in France for 18 months. I know that I can be blessed when I serve the Lord with complete obedience.
