Hi I'm Emily

I grew up Heber, Utah. I'm serving in the Honduras Tegucigalpa mission for the next year and a half. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing soccer and running. I grew up playing on competitive soccer teams, and ran track in high school. I'm very passionate about my sports; I love working hard to achieve my goals and push my limits. I live in a beautiful valley with majestic mountains, rivers, and lakes, so I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, and biking. I just finished my first year of college, and have been called to serve a mission for the LDS church beginning in September.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents raised both of my brothers and I in the gospel. I have always known that the church is true because from a young age, I felt the influence of the Holy Ghost testify to me that this is truly Christ's church. As I have studied the scriptures, attended church, prayed, and tried my best to live the teachings of the gospel, I have felt God's love for me and gained assurances that this is His true church. It has brought immense happiness into my life--I don't know who I would be without it. I have a special testimony of prayer and the Book of Mormon; God has always answered my prayers and helped me every single time I've asked. The Book of Mormon is God's word.

How I live my faith

I am a nanny for my neighbor who has four children. While this is a paid job, I feel so blessed to be able to work with her kids and be a part of her family. I've been given a glimpse into what motherhood is like, and how it is truly a calling of service, love, teaching, and sacrifice. I try to be friendly to those in my community so that everyone feels loved and welcome here.
