Hi I'm Sean

I love the outdoors, playing sports, snowmobiling, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid lover of the outdoors. During the summer my favorite thing to do is go camping, fishing, biking and running. Winter is my favorite time of the year because it means cabin, snowmobiling, and snowboarding. If there is snow around, you will find me there. I am a high school graduate and am about to serve a mission as a representative of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Canada. After which I will be going to college. My desire is to study Chemical Engineering and later be sealed in the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents, their parents, and their parents have been strong faithful members for longer than I have been alive. Growing up in the church I believed all that was said, and never had many problems with the church. By the time I was 11 years old, I started feeling like I was still missing something, like everyone knew something I didn't. I started to feel that I wasn't as sure that the church was true as before. So after further consideration, I decided to finish reading the Book of Mormon and ask if it was true like we had learned in Sunday School. I got on my knees and asked my Father in Heaven if this book, and the church was true. After a long while of kneeling there, I wondered what went wrong. Thinking about all of my actions and the promise in the back of the book I had a thought after a chain of thoughts. "Sean, you already know it is true". With this, came peace. That same peace I had felt before in lessons at church and while reading the Book of Mormon. Over time I have grown to appreciate the way Heavenly father answered my prayer. He let me take all of the steps, and think about what I had felt in the past. Then when I came to the correct conclusion, the Holy Ghost made it known to me that it was correct. The joy this gospel has brought to me is enough to keep me here. But I know it is true, and that it has blessed my life. That is why I am going to serve a mission to teach people of the joy that I have been given.

How I live my faith

I am a home teacher, and visit three homes every month to check up on them. Most of them are elderly and just need help carrying heavy things, changing light bulbs, or hanging Christmas lights. Also, I serve every month by going door to door collecting donations for the church. In the past I have served as one of the youth leader for the young men. In this, I had the responsibility to invite peers to activities, conduct some activities, and help peers all be included.
