Hi I'm Gabe

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I'm serving a mission in the Republic of Congo, Cameroon, and France. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mountain View, California and left for an LDS mission when I was 18 years old. I was originally serving in Congo and Cameroon, but I got a really serious eye infection and had to go home. I was able to heal almost completely and I'm now finishing my mission in Paris, France. During high school, I drew comics for our local and school newspapers, and I plan to major in Animation or Graphic Design after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, so I was never able to experience a conversion in the normal sense of the word. But as I have lived my life in the Church, my faith has evolved over the years of my life. While as a young child I was in the Church mainly because my parents were, as I have grown older, I have come to love the Gospel myself. I have had many personal experiences in my life that have testified to me that God is real and cares about me and my personal happiness individually, and the Church and my belief in it has helped me through many difficult periods of my life, and has provided direction and meaning in my life, and I can only imagine how different my life would be without the influence of the Church.

How I live my faith

I was serving a 2 year, full time mission for the Church in the Republic of Congo, when I developed a corneal ulcer, which threatened the vision in my left eye. I was sent home and after making a truly miraculous recovery, I was reassigned to finish my mission in Paris, France! Throughout the whole thing, I was confident that God was watching over me.
