Hi I'm Maleia

I grew up in Woodland and Kamas. I'm hoping to be a Seminary Teacher someday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Maleia. I live in Kamas, but I grew up on a farm in Woodland. I love to be a cowgirl and listen to Country Music. I would like to serve a full time LDS Mission, then obtain a Bachelor's degree and teach Seminary until I'm old and senile. I enjoy writing my own stories, collecting fun old fashioned things, and going boot and clothes shopping. I enjoy being outside and seeing bright colored flowers.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the LDS church since I can remember, however, this doesn't mean that I don't have my own convert story. My conversion story begins with feeling like a 'drifter'. No real purpose or destination. This was a struggle for many years that caused countless sincere and broken prayers. Until my parents and I had the opportunity to have 2 Elder Missionaries teach an investigator in our home. The day that my testimony really clicked and fit into place was the day that the elders were talking about baptism and the symbolism of it all. They said when you go under the water your old life and the old you is swept away. When you rise out of the water your new life and the new you begins. All of this is possible through the plan of our Heavenly Father and the atonement of His son Jesus Christ. Then it just clicked! The sacrament I get to take every Sunday is just like that! I can wake up every Sunday morning to prepare for the Sacrament and visualize what I would like the new me to be. I can seriously just restart clean and pure every Sunday if I want to! From that point my testimony has become stronger and I've restarted countless times. I really like a quote that keeps me motivated, it is: "You have not failed until you've quit trying." I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church and everything about it is true and beautiful! I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love us more than we can comprehend. I'm a Mormon and I know it, I love it, and I try very hard to live it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to read the scriptures and pray daily. This daily practice helps me with questions, concerns, and brings me closer to being like Jesus. I attend a singles branch where I learn to love and serve the people that I associate with. I have a calling as a teacher and I also just received my mission call. I try to remember the things I've been taught in the church and apply them daily as much as I can. I also love to collect uplifting quotes from Church leaders and read them often to keep me motivated and happy!
