Hi I'm Rylie

I have grown up in California, Arizona and Oregon. I was adopted by my parents at 12 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and for as long I can remember my favorite hobbies are dancing, swimming, movie marathons with friends. I enjoy anything that makes me laugh and gives other people the opportunity to laugh. I have attended one year of college at BYU and had a great time despite some struggles. When I came home from school to work and save money I wanted to decide what my next step was gonna be. I've decided to serve a mission, I am called to serve in the Texas Dallas Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this Gospel. I am a Mormon because I know the unique message of Christ to be true. The doctrine of Christ's church gives me hope. Hope to live in holier places with my Heavenly Father again because I can be forgiven of things I do wrong. That forgiveness through repentance comes through the atonement of the Savior Jesus Christ. God loves us so he sent His perfect son to die for our infirmities, whatever they may be, and for Christ to show us the way to exaltation and salvation. An example of the best way to live our lives. If we do what the Lord asks and follow the commandments we are blessed. He has a plan for each of our lives and I have been so lucky to see His hand in my life and receive the opportunities that I have only because I found the truth of this church. Someone who loves us so much and wants the best for us can only do good. Not only that, but a figure of immense power who has brought many miracles to pass. I am a Mormon because I know and love that I am a child of God. I am a Mormon because I am privileged with the knowledge of this doctrine I have shared. I am a Mormon because every time I watched a Mormon message video, or hear the general authorities speak in conference, and hear others bear their testimonies, the Holy Spirit testifies to me of the truth of those good things I hear. I am a Mormon because I have had it witnessed to me many times that this is TRUE. I know in my heart this is the way to God and to be like God. I know that living the gospel is the only way to achieve true happiness. That we can learn to be in the world but not of the world. I am a Mormon because Christ's example has inspired me to see the good and to BE the good. To have faith. To endure. To choose the right and stand in holy places and witness of God at all times, in all things and in all places. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and My Savior and all they have sacrificed for me and planned for me and provided to me.

How I live my faith

The church is a really special place to be, one way being how much we serve, help, learn, teach and get to know other. I have had many different callings/duties in my ward growing up but my most recent and most favorite happens to be helping to teach the children in primary. It's a good opportunity as a young adult to live up to the role of teacher and to learn that responsibility. I have not spent to much time organizing the great events we have but I feel blessed to have participated in so many of them over the years. There have been a lot of memorable event and activities for the boys and girls youth group, service projects for certain ages, camps, enrichment days for women, just a lot of fun and time to gather and bond and be in wholesome places, with good standards and centering our lives around Christ.
