Hi I'm Navey

I'm an athlete, I'm a mascot, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been an athlete all my life. Ever since I was little I was always playing some kind of sport. I have always had a great love for all sports. When I was little I decided I wanted to be the ultimate sports fan, so I became a Mascot. Since the 6th grade, I've been dressing up in furry suits, running around the sidelines making a fool of myself and I enjoy every minute of it. At first, I became a mascot for myself, but as my career moved forward I realized the real reason I became a mascot, to make people smile. As a mascot, my job is to entertain the crowd. I make them laugh and have fun during events. There is no greater feeling than making someone else happy, and that's why I decided to put mascotting on hold and serve a mission. I want to bring people happiness in their life a different way. I want to share with them the greatness of this Gospel and the love of the Savior. This gospel brings me so much joy and I want everyone to know of the joy that is felt as a member of the LDS church. I will be serving in the Trinidad Port of Spain Mission speaking Dutch.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the love and joy I receive through living the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Having the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, along with all other promises Heavenly Father has promised us, allows me to feel so much love and joy. Knowing about The Atonement of Jesus Christ allows me to feel peace in my life because I know that when I mess up in life that I can be forgiven of my sins and I can once again feel peace. This Gospel is just so amazing that it is hard to put my love into words. There is true happiness and peace felt when you are a member of this amazing church.

How I live my faith

I love getting out in the community and serving. It is the best way to spend my time, other than in the temple. I've always felt a strong love for serving others and by doing so I have been able to be a light and example of the LDS church. Serving allows me to live a Christ-like life.
